This was the practice of the heathen land of Canaan before the Israelites entered in. God warned His people to "not be ensnared to follow them.."

BUT THE PEOPLE FORGOT

“He burned incense in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and burned his children in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord has cast out before the children of Israel.”II Chronicles 28:3

How wicked and evil were the practices of some of the Kings of Israel and Judah. They sacrificed their own children to their pagan gods!

Does our heavenly Father look upon “convenience” as something that many have made a god to which they sacrifice their children by way of abortion?
