Citizen Soldiers
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29: 11-13
Thomas Jefferson once said, "Every citizen should be a soldier." It’s time to once again put his words into action because America is at war for freedom, democracy and a treasured way of life. Today, every American can be a "praying" soldier. We need to look to God every day and seek His divine forgiveness, protection, and blessings. This is a time to turn back to Him and to never again turn away.
He invites you to sit and talk with Him.
Alabama Supreme Court Justice, Roy Moore, once remarked that we in America have been wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. Christians need to stop their wondering and rise up to declare that America was framed as “One Nation Under God.” We need to bring Him back as the God of this country, and never again allow our light for Him to become dim.
Hope Makes It Possible Sometimes when a light
goes out of our lives
and we are left in darkness
and we do not know which way to go,
we must put our hand
into the hand of God
and ask Him to lead us,
and if we let our lives become
a prayer
until we are strong enough
to stand under the weight
of our own thoughts again,
somehow, even the most difficult
hours are bearable.
