The
Church-America's Moral Voice

What are
pastors teaching their flocks today?
Our country is suffering from the lack of "Christian participation" because
our moral leaders are not instructing their congregations to be "engaged," and
that is mostly because they are afraid! They believe Satan's lie that there is
a "separation of church and state." They are afraid of losing their tax-exempt
status if
anything regarding politics comes out of their mouths. But many
moral issues have become political and those issues need to be, and lawfully can
be, addressed by the leaders of all churches.
*****The
silence began in 1954.*****
In 1954, Lyndon B. Johnson was a U.S. Senator, and he offered an amendment in
the Senate that would ban all nonprofit organizations from engaging in political
activity. That amendment passed without any debate. Lyndon Johnson did that
because he wanted to silence some of those organizations that were threatening
his re-election, and the church, America's moral voice, was caught up in that
ban. From that day to this, the Church has been silent regarding political
issues. Even though many issues CAN and SHOULD be addressed by
pastors, they refuse to do so. The "ban" on churches needs to be lifted, giving
total "freedom of speech" to their leaders.
"To those who cite the First Amendment as a
reason for excluding God from more and more of our institutions everyday; I say:
The First Amendment of the constitution was not written to protect the people of
this country from religious values; it was written to protect religious values
from government tyranny." Ronald Reagan
Christian pastors, will be held responsible for not teaching the people how to be
salt and light.
"My brethren, let not many of you become
teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." James 3:1

Christians
do not honor God when they sit idle, allowing the secular world to dictate the
morals to live by.
"You
are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot
be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket,
but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and
glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew
5:14-16
Christian leaders need to feel free to motivate
their followers to become engaged in the fight to keep the morals God taught us.
