What Christians Must Do
As a Christian, it is important that you recognize your civic duties! If you do not want your country turned into a secular nation, you must commit to those duties. This land is your land, founded on Judeo/Christian values, and it is your duty to preserve those values.
This land--it was made for you and me.
Let's keep it!
First duty is to pray, remembering that we Christians are to be salt and light, and WE are the ones who must become God's army and fight for the values He taught us.
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
Second duty is to be a registered voter so you can practice your citizenship with accountability to God.
"By the blessing of the upright the city is exhalted."
Proverbs 11:11
Third duty is to be informed. Know how your Senator and Representative is voting. Sign up to receive that information at Congress.org.
"...the prudent are crowned with knowledge."
Proverbs 14:18
Fourth duty is to help elect Godly people. Too many elected officials do not hold our Christian values, causing moral decay.
"Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth..."
Exodus 18:21
Fifth duty is to vote!!! Your vote counts, so seek wisdom from God and select the candidate whose personal principles most closely agree with your Christian values.
"Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint."
